My Story

My name is Delia - a makeup artist, beauty blogger, entrepreneur, and mom of three, based in Texas. If you've been following @Delia.Ahmed on socials for a while, you already know that beauty isn't just my passion. It's my language, my ritual, the thing I reach for when I want to feel like myself.

But this story doesn't actually start with makeup. It starts with my daughter.

The Moment That Changed Everything

A few years ago, my baby girl was having skin reactions at bath time. Rashes, irritation -  the kind that makes a mama's heart drop. The doctor's suggestion was steroid treatments, but those never addressed the root cause and my daughter's irritation would reappear the day we stopped using prescribed ointments. There had to be a gentler and safer way to make my baby feel better.

So I did what I always do when I hit a wall - I started researching everything I could find. I taught myself soap making from scratch. I learned about oils, about pH balance, about which ingredients soothe and which ones strip. And eventually, after many, many test batches, I created a soap gentle enough for her.

It worked. Her skin cleared up. And I had accidentally discovered something I didn't know I needed: the ability to make my own formulas from scratch.

Beauty Has Always Been My Calling

Parallel to all of this - because mothers rarely get to have just one thing going on - I was pursuing my career as a professional makeup artist.

I have always believed that makeup is more than aesthetics. When a woman sits in my chair and I watch her transform - both on the outside and in the way her self-confidence boosts after - I feel delighted. Makeup is empowering. Makeup is armor. And for women who go on to build businesses in beauty services, it can be a path to real financial independence.

Over the years I started mentoring other women who wanted to start their own professional makeup service businesses. Watching them grow, watching them succeed became just as meaningful to me as the artistry itself. Women-owned businesses change things. I've seen it.

The Problem That Was Driving Me Absolutely Crazy

Here's something I never talked about enough on my social media platforms - the unglamorous side of professional makeup artistry: cleaning the brushes.

When you work with multiple clients you use a fresh set of clean brushes for every person, which means at the end of a busy gig you are staring down tons of brushes that need to be thoroughly cleaned before the next big event. I am not exaggerating when I say I have spent full days just washing brushes. And the worst part? Whatever I was using never really worked well.

I tried everything - specialty brush soaps, regular hand soap, shampoo, dish soap - and none of it was it. I'd wash the same brush three times and still see color releasing on the fourth rinse. Some soaps barely touched the pigment. Others were so harsh that my brushes started losing their shape and bristles over time. There I was, a person who knew how to formulate soap, watching perfectly good brushes slowly get ruined by bad cleanser.

How Tabiiy Was Born

I went back to everything I had learned making my daughter's soap - oils as a base, no harsh detergents, ingredients I could trust - and I started asking a new question: what would a brush cleanser look like if someone actually made it right?

Months of experimenting followed. A lot of test batches. A lot of me testing different formulas on every brush I owned. And then - I found THE formula.

Tabiiy Makeup Brush & Sponge Cleanser is the result of all of it. It's all-natural, vegan, paraben-free and detergent-free. It cleans from the very first swirl - no re-washing, no buildup, no guessing. And because it uses an oil base, it actually conditions the bristles while it cleans, which means your brushes last longer. It comes with a silicone scrubbing pad built right into the packaging, which speeds up the brush cleaning process.

The name Tabiiy means "natural" - and that single word captures everything I was trying to make. Something that works, something you can trust, something that comes from the clean ingredients.

The response since launching has honestly made me emotional - makeup artists reaching out to say they've cut their cleaning time in half. That they have their time back. That they're spending that time with their families or taking on the client they couldn't fit in before. That is exactly what I wanted to give them.

I started this brand because I couldn't find what I needed, and it turns out - a lot of people couldn't either.

If you're a working makeup artist, a beauty lover, or just someone who's been rewashing the same brush three times wondering why it's still stained - this was made for you.

With love and a full brush roll,

Delia
